A Firle Place Wedding is always going to be pretty special. You can have your wedding in the Riding School or in The Herb Garden. Joe and Charlotte contacted me before they had decided on their venue but had Firle Place in mind. Once they visited it they had no problem confirming this as their wedding venue. This lovely couple had wanted an outdoor wedding and this stunning venue ticked all their boxes.
Joe and Charlotte
Joe and Charlotte are exceptional people. They have such a zest fo life and for each other and are so in love!! They adore each other and take such delight in being together. Both are editors so their love of words was evident in their personal vows and speeches during this amazing Firle Place wedding.
The start
The day started with a morning with a swim which I also covered but I felt it was a private moment so haven’t shared here. From there we went to Charlotte’s family home and had such fun. Charlotte was amazing to photograph. Great fun was had when we had a little play with the light and boy did she find her light! I knew from there that we are in for an epic Firle Place wedding.
The Ceremony
The ceremony in the Firle Place Herb garden was pretty beautiful and touching. There was a beautifully decorated marquee by Blue Door Barns who manage your Firle Place wedding and Quince Brighton. I was obsessed with the florals. The gardens at Firle Place are breathtaking and we were blessed with amazing light for our photos especially the shots in the evening.
Relaxed post dinner portraits
I will often take my couples out for some portraits post dinner. This is when the light is beautifully soft and it can be the perfect time to capture you both. You’re more relaxes and its also good for you guys to take 10 mins away from it all and to take it all in!
