A wedding at The Ivy in Brighton

I say this was a wedding at The Ivy in Brighton but it was also at Hotel Du Vin and The Town Hall. Louis and Jesper got ready with their beautiful dog at Hotel Du Vin, got married at The Town Hall and after a little walk around The Lanes with me they had a reception at the Ivy in Brighton.

A Relaxed wedding

This was always going to be a really relaxed and intimate wedding with just a handful of family and friends. I called by their hotel room to say hi and capture some last minute getting ready photos before we all walked together to The Town Hall.  It was a really sweet ceremony and the rainy day that greeted us outside did little to dampen anyone’s spirits. Jesper, Lous and I walked around The Lanes for maybe 30 minutes and incorporated the colours of Brighton into their portraits.
I don’t really pose my couples, we just go for a walk and a chat and what you see here is the natural outcome of that. It’s your personality that I want to photograph, that’s the most important thing to me.

Jesper and Lous and their really lovely family and friends helped make the day perfect for these two special men. I was so happy to be there with them to capture this.
