A wedding at The Grand Brighton with Iki and Chris

Iki and Chris got in touch a while ago through my lovely friend Kam who’s wedding I shot maybe 12 years ago. They have moved to Devon but really wanted their wedding in brighton where they started their life together.

On a beautiful and really hot day in August they had a wedding at The Grand in Brighton. My favourite part of the day was the shoot I had with them both in the middle of all the celebrations. They were so happy and comfortable in front of the camera. I have been shooting in Brighton for years ( and years and years!) and it’s important to approach each wedding with a fresh outlook. So for Iki and Chris we had a little quick visit to the beach but by far my favourite shots were in the back streets behind the seafront.

Taking time out for a proper couples photoshoot on the wedding day makes all the difference. You get the shots you need, some time alone and also time to feel comfortable and it means we get more natural images. The wedding day goes so quickly and to look back at photos of you two alone and just enjoying the moment is pretty priceless.

Iki and Chris were gorgeous and  brilliant to photograph!! They seem to fit together so perfectly and I loved hanging out with them!!

“Ok so we started with the prints which were amazing…..then we watched the slide show and we were both in tears!! We’ve been through the whole lot and they are just perfect in every way! We don’t know how to thank you! Everyone looks so happy and its so lovely to see and as for the shots we went off and did around town…….They just couldn’t have been any more perfect. To top it off, the presentation box is beautiful! Thank you so much honey,  Iki and Chris xxxx “
